The Lily Housing Corporation offers short-term and long-term housing to qualified applicants.  Our targeted population is the working poor in the Hampton Roads area of Virginia with annual household incomes form $13,000 – 25,000.  Qualified applicants are offered temporary housing for a period of time (generally from six months to eighteen months).  The LHC takes a holistic approach to meeting the needs of our participants.  We focus on bringing restoration and order to the lives of our participants through effective, practical strategies designed to address their vital needs.  We understand that the needs of our program participants are complex and therefore, compounded by an acute need for debt relief and strategic personal financial planning assistance.  Therefore, the head- of -household  receives a range of services through our Success Program to include the following three components: 1) Bible –based personal financial/credit counseling, 2) career counseling, and 3) professional Christian individual/family counseling at no cost to the program participant.

While our primary objective is to meet the needs of our participants through the provision of safe and adequate temporary housing, LHC understands that it is equally important that we provide a support system of professional services designed to offer vital information, to sharpen skills and confidence, and finally to restore the participants to a greater sense of self-worth.  Each program participant will meet bi-monthly with a Program Coordinator who will assist in a smooth transition throughout their tenure in a Lily Home and finally into permanent housing of their own. 

The future goals of Lily Housing Corporation will be to continue to expand the corporation internationally with orphanages established in India, Haiti, Nigeria, and South Africa through solid partnerships with local church pastors and their wives.  Immediate stateside goals would be to purchase two additional Lily Homes in the Hampton Roads area in an effort to expand our ministry to the community.  Additional stateside goals for Lily Housing will be to engage pastor’s wives in partnering with Lily Housing in expanding this great work of providing transitional housing for working women and their children soliciting the support of local congregations.  Lastly, the vision of LHC is to release this vision globally through Christian television reaching into millions of households worldwide, thereby expanding the vision and broadening our financial support base.
